Liquid

I managed to find this after completely forgetting abt it. . .

rain has a power fused within it that water does not. i learned that quickly when i opened the door and saw her standing in my doorway. she stood as far in from the rain as she could. she was caught outside just long enough for droplets to run down from her eyes and cling to the edge of her lips. tiny beads held fast to the her few strands of hair that had run astray. there seemed to be a firey rage to the petite frame that had taken over my front porch.

"here"

she threw an old backpack at my feet then turned and stormed away with more raw force that the weather that englufled her
a sadness trailed my stare as her porfile lost itself in the sheets of rain. i cried that night. more than i ever remember and more than i will ever admit. i cried not for what i lost when i lost her but because of the things i found in me. i had lied, i had cheated, and i stole. i had become the things i hated. they were all inside of me, waiting for the right time and place to silence my conscience and break into my life.

i lied again. . . i cried for losing her.
